When an electric charge is placed within an
electric field it experiences a force of attraction or repulsion depending on
the nature of the charge and its position in the field.
Electric field in a space is created by an electric charge. That means,
when an electric charge is placed in a space, an electric field is created
around it. If any other electric charge is brought in this electric field then
the second charge will experience an electrical force. This electric force
depends upon the strength of electric field, magnitude of the charge itself and
the position of the charge in the electric field.
